Winnipeg Jets forward prospect Patrik Laine won't participate in any on-ice activities for the team's development camp in early July.
The second overall pick at last week's NHL Draft had minor surgery on his knee after the NHL Combine and has not been cleared to play.
The Jets announced the news in a release on Tuesday.
Logan Stanley, the team's other first-round selection, will attend the development camp from July 3-7 in Winnipeg. Other attendees include 2015 first-round picks Kyle Connor and Jack Roslovic.
The 18-year-old Laine last played for Finland at the world championship, where he took home silver. The winger tied for the tournament lead in goals with seven and was named MVP, best forward and tournament all-star.
