The Montreal Alouettes announced on Wednesday that the club has signed offensive linemen Philippe Gagnon and Sean Jamieson, as well as running back Wayne Moore, to three-year deals.
Gagnon (6'4", 311 lbs), 23, played four seasons for the Université Laval Rouge et Or, helping the team win the National championship in 2012 and 2013. the Alouettes selected him in the first round (second overall) on May 10.
Gagnon was selected a Quebec Conference first team all-star and a CIS second team all star in 2014 and 2015.
Moore (6'0", 220 lbs.) was selected in the second round (11th overall) by Montreal. In eight games last season with the McMaster University Marauders, the Etobicoke, ON native carried the ball 108 times for 565 rushing yards and three touchdowns. In four seasons at McMaster, he amassed 1,515 rushing yards on 270 carries while scoring 13 touchdowns.
Jamieson (6'7", 316 lbs.) was drafted in the third round (20th overall) out of Western. Last season, the Winnipeg, MB native was elected an Ontario Conference first-team all-star and helped the Mustangs finish the season with a CIS-high 2,947 total rushing yards.
