Funnyman Jim Carrey is a serious tipper.

We're told the "Dumb and Dumber" star left a $225 tip for a surprised server at Meatpacking District restaurant the Chester on a meal that totaled just $151.

Carrey was at the hot spot with pals, spies told Page Six, who ordered sparkling water, ­pinot noir, lemon chicken and a quinoa dish.

"Everyone seemed to be in a good mood," said a source.

Carrey was spotted at a recent Guns N' Roses reunion show at iconic rock club the Troubadour in LA last weekend.
