The Calgary Flames have signed free-agent forward Daniel Pribyl, who has played pro hockey in Czech Republic for the past six seasons, to a two-year entry level contract, according to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie.

The 23-year-old recently suffered a knee surgery (ACL) while playing with Sparta Praha in the Czech playoffs, but the Flames remained interested in Pribyl's services.

Pribyl scored 16 goals and added 29 assists over 45 games this season with Sparta. The Montreal Canadiens selected him in the sixth round of the 2011 draft, but weren't able to get a deal done.

In other news, TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger is reporting free-agent defenceman Michal Kempny is expected to sign a deal with a NHL club by next week. Kempny, 25, played last season in the KHL after spending six years in the Czech league.
