Canada's Dustin Kalthoff and Marliese Kasner lost to Bruce Mouat and Gina Aitken of Scotland 6-5 in the quarter-finals of the world mixed doubles curling championship on Friday.

The pair from Saskatoon had gone undefeated up to that point of the tournament.

Scotland will battle China while the United States will take on Russia in the semifinals.
