{allcanada} OHL: Marner, Knights down Attack for series lead

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Mitch Marner had two goals and an assist as the London Knights downed the Owen Sound Attack 5-1 on Monday in Game 3 of their Ontario Hockey League playoff series.

Matthew Tkachuk also scored twice for the Knights, who lead the best-of-seven first-round matchup 2-1. Aaron Berisha rounded out the offence for London.

Damir Sharipzyanov was the lone scorer for the Attack, who will host Game 4 on Wednesday.

Knights netminder Tyler Parsons made 38 saves for the win as Michael McNiven turned away 36-of-41 shots for Owen Sound.

London went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Attack scored once on four chances with the man advantage.

67's 4 ICEDOGS 2

OTTAWA — Nathan Todd had two goals and an assist and Artur Tyanulin scored once and set up two more as the 67's doubled up Niagara to take Game 3 in their first-round series.

Stepan Falkovsky also scored and Travis Barron added three helpers for Ottawa, which trails the series 2-1. Leo Lazarev made 26 saves for the win.

Pavel Jenys and Vince Dunn struck for the IceDogs and Josh Ho-Sang assisted on both goals. Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 12-of-16 shots in a losing cause.

RANGERS 2 SPITIFRES1

WINDSOR, Ont. — Jeremy Bracco opened the scoring and assisted on the winner as Kitchener downed the Spitfires for a 3-0 first-round series lead.

Brandon Robinson scored the go-ahead goal at 18:34 of the third period for the Rangers, who got a 26-save outing from Dawson Carty. Ryan MacInnis chipped in with two helpers.

Aaron Luchuk found the back of the net for Windsor. Michael DiPietro kicked out 26-of-28 shots in defeat.

STEELHEADS 6 COLTS 3

BARRIE, Ont. — Alex Nylander had a third-period hat trick and Mississuaga scored six unanswered goals to even its first-round series 1-1 with a win over the Colts.

Everett Clark, Mason Marchment and Daniel Muzito-Bagenda also scored for the Steelheads, who trailed 3-0 after 40 minutes of action. Jack Flinn made 36 saves for the victory while Nylander added an assist for a four-point outing.

Justin Scott, Rasmus Andersson and Anthony Stefano supplied the offence for Barrie. Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 30-of-35 shots in a losing effort.
