BRUINS (39-28-8) at MAPLE LEAFS (27-35-11)

TV: 7 p.m. ET; CBC, NESN, NHL.TV

Season series: The Boston Bruins defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs in three of four games. Tuukka Rask stopped all 22 shots faced in a 2-0 win Nov. 21; David Krejci scored the deciding goal in a 4-3 shootout win Nov. 23; and Brad Marchand scored with 47 seconds remaining in a 3-2 win Jan. 16. P.A. Parenteau scored on a power play with 1:54 left in overtime to give Toronto a 4-3 win Feb. 2.

Bruins team scope: Forwards David Pastrnak, Landon Ferraro, Brett Connolly, Tyler Randell and Noel Acciari, defensemen Joe Morrow and Zach Trotman, and goalie Jonas Gustavsson took to the ice Friday. It was mostly off-ice work for the Bruins before traveling to Toronto. Defenseman John-Michael Liles is being further evaluated and won't travel, coach Claude Julien told the Bruins website. Liles sustained a lower-body injury in the second period of the 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers on Wednesday. Boston, which has lost five straight games in regulation, is third in the Atlantic Division. "We're still in that playoff position," Julien told the team's website. "I keep saying we're in control of our own destiny, so, you know, if you panic, you're not going to gain what you want to gain and if you stay in the moment and try and fix things and try and get better, then you've got a chance."

Maple Leafs team scope: Toronto defeated the Anaheim Ducks 6-5 in overtime Thursday. It was the third straight win for the young Maple Leafs and sixth in their past eight games. Toronto is last in the NHL with 65 points, and the Maple Leafs' chances of winning the draft lottery for the first overall pick will be reduced if they advance from that position. "I'd like to pick first," coach Mike Babcock told the Toronto Star. "All 30 teams would like to pick first, but I like to win every night. I'm a big believer in if you do good things, good things happen. If you cheat the system, it cheats you. So do what you're supposed to do." Parenteau is one goal shy of 100 in his NHL career. Toronto on Friday loaned forward Josh Leivo to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
