SHARKS (32-22-6) at CANUCKS (24-24-12)

TV: 7 p.m. ET; CSN-CA, SN, NHL.TV

Season series: The San Jose Sharks and Vancouver Canucks play three times in the next seven days. Vancouver won three of the five games last season, with neither team winning at home. Canucks forward Radim Vrbata had five goals and one assist, forward Daniel Sedin had six assists, and forward Henrik Sedin had two goals and three assists. Sharks forward Melker Karlsson scored three goals, and forwards Joe Thornton, Logan Couture, Matt Nieto and Chris Tierney each had two.

Sharks team scope: San Jose recalled goaltender Aaron Dell from the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League for the final game of the season-long, seven-game road trip because goaltender James Reimer, acquired with forward Jeremy Morin from the Toronto Maple Leafs in a trade Saturday, is not expected to join the team in time for the game. Reimer is expected to fortify the backup position behind Martin Jones as the Sharks battle for positioning in the Western Conference Stanley Cup Playoff race. "Getting this opportunity to come to a team like San Jose that is poised to do some damage, it's exciting," Reimer said. "It's an opportunity where you have to try to make the most of it." San Jose is 3-2-1 on the road trip and 6-4-2 since the All-Star break.

Canucks team scope: Vancouver is seeking its first three-game win streak of the season. The Canucks are 10 points behind the Sharks for third place in the Pacific Division. With the NHL Trade Deadline on Monday, several veterans could be leaving at any moment. Defenseman Dan Hamhuis has a no-trade clause but told the Vancouver Province on Saturday that he is open to being traded, and the Dallas Stars may have some appeal. "I think Dallas has a lot of things going for it,'' Hamhuis told the newspaper. "It's one of the best teams in the League. It'd be a great city to play in and have a chance to win this year." Daniel Sedin has seven assists in his past five games, and forward Jannik Hansen has four goals and two assists in his past seven games.
