Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby scored his 900th NHL point Saturday, and quickly added 901 and 902.
Crosby reached 900 with an assist 14:56 into the third period on a goal by defenseman Kris Letang against the Florida Panthers. Crosby scored with 1:15 remaining to tie the game 2-2, then assisted on Letang's game-winning goal 1:27 into overtime for a 3-2 win.
Crosby extended his point streak to 10 games (10 goals, eight assists).
The No. 1 pick in the 2005 NHL Draft, Crosby has 324 goals and 578 assists in 677 games in 11 seasons with the Penguins.
Crosby, 28, won the Hart Trophy twice (2006-07, 2013-14). He led the League in scoring each of those seasons; he had 36 goals and 120 points in 2006-07 and 104 points, including a League-high 68 assists, in 2013-14. He led the League with 51 goals in 2009-10.
Crosby has 22 goals and 49 points in 50 games this season.
