{allcanada} Penguins captain Crosby scores 900th NHL point

 

Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby scored his 900th NHL point Saturday, and quickly added 901 and 902.

Crosby reached 900 with an assist 14:56 into the third period on a goal by defenseman
Kris Letang against the Florida Panthers. Crosby scored with 1:15 remaining to tie the game 2-2, then assisted on Letang's game-winning goal 1:27 into overtime for a 3-2 win.

Crosby extended his point streak to 10 games (10 goals, eight assists).

The No. 1 pick in the 2005 NHL Draft, Crosby has 324 goals and 578 assists in 677 games in 11 seasons with the Penguins.

Crosby, 28, won the Hart Trophy twice (2006-07, 2013-14). He led the League in scoring each of those seasons; he had 36 goals and 120 points in 2006-07 and 104 points, including a League-high 68 assists, in 2013-14. He led the League with 51 goals in 2009-10.

Crosby has 22 goals and 49 points in 50 games this season.
