ANAHEIM -- PA Parenteau scored twice and goalie Jonathan Bernier made 39 saves for his second shutout of the season in the Toronto Maple Leafs' 4-0 win against Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center on Wednesday.
Bernier has won three straight starts; he is 6-2-2 in the past 10 games.
Toronto is 7-1-0 against Anaheim in the past eight games between the teams.
The Ducks outshot the Maple Leafs 18-8 in the first period but Toronto took the lead when Parenteau scored at 8:54.
Parenteau made it 2-0 7:38 into the second period, scoring off of a James van Riemsdyk rebound. It was Parenteau's second multi-goal game of the season. He has eight points in 10 games against Anaheim.
Tyler Bozak assisted on each of Parenteau's goals.
Nazem Kadri took a cross-ice freed from Leo Komarov in the left circle and beat Ducks goalie John Gibson at 12:35 in the second to put the Maple Leafs up 3-0.
Gibson left the game 41 seconds into the third period after a collision with Kadri. He finished with 22 saves. After the game, Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said Gibson sustained a lower-body injury and is day-to-day.
Frederik Andersen relieved Gibson and gave up a goal to Brad Boyes at 2:47. Andersen made 11 saves.
Gibson was not on the bench for the remainder of the third period.
