Montreal Canadiens forward Dale Weise will miss the next 2-3 weeks with an upper-body injury, the Canadiens announced Sunday.
Weise left with 14:51 remaining in the second period of the 2016 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic on Friday after taking a crosscheck from Boston Bruins defenseman Kevan Miller and taking a shot off his arm. The Canadiens won the game 5-1.
Weise's 11 goals are a career high. He has 20 points in 40 games.
Forward Sven Andrighetto was recalled from St. John's of the American Hockey League on Saturday. Andrighetto has four goals and five points in 14 games this season with the Canadiens.
