Those opening words and that white San Fransisco townhouse are forever synonymous with the "Full House
" opening credits, which is probably why Carly Rae Jepsen has been tapped to to redo the introductory song for the show's reboot.
The singer excitedly tweeted out the news, saying, "Butch Walker and I re-did the theme song for @FullerHouse together and I can't wait for you to hear it! Check it out on Netflix Feb. 26th!!"
Both Netflix and the "Fuller House" accounts retweeted Jepsen, confirming that Jesse Frederick and Bennett Salvay's "Everywhere You Look" will remain a tune of the past.
RIP original "Full House" theme song. So, just once more, with feeling:
"When you're lost out there
and you're all alone,
A light is waiting
to carry you home.
Everywhere you look..
Maybe Jepsen will call Frederick, who sang the original tune, to work in some of his infamous "Chip-a-dee-ba-ba-dow" into the new mix? Maybe?
"Fuller House" will premiere on Feb. 26, 2016 on Netflix.
