TORONTO - Toronto FC has re-signed defender Justin Morrow to a multi-year deal.
The 28-year-old has made 69 appearances across all competitions in two seasons with Toronto. He had two goals and five assists over that span.
Morrow has four goals and 12 assists in 136 career Major League Soccer appearances over six seasons.
He joined Toronto in a Dec. 16, 2013 trade with the San Jose Earthquakes.
Internationally, Morrow has one cap for the United States which was earned in a Jan. 2013 friendly against Canada.
"Justin has been an important player for Toronto FC over the past two seasons, and he is part of our core group we feel we can build our defence around," Toronto FC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko said in a statement. "Aside from his contributions on the pitch, Justin is a great representative of our club off the pitch, with his tireless efforts in the community. We are all very happy to re-sign Justin."
