Season series: The Ottawa Senators and Winnipeg Jets split two games last season, with each team winning on the road. Mathieu Perreault's sixth-round shootout goal gave Winnipeg a 2-1 win Nov. 8 at Canadian Tire Centre. Ottawa goaltender Andrew Hammond made 36 saves in a 3-1 win March 4 at MTS Centre.

Jets team scope: Winnipeg will play the second of back-to-back games and finish a four-game Eastern Conference road trip that is 2-1-0. Goaltender Michael Hutchinson is a possibility to start after Ondrej Pavelec played Wednesday in a 4-2 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Center Andrew Copp (upper body) remains out. Patrice Cormier, who was recalled from Manitoba of the American Hockey League on Wednesday to replace Copp, was scratched. Winnipeg returns home to play the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday but five of the next six games are on the road.

Senators team scope: Ottawa, which has won three of its past four games, will again be without right wing Mark Stone, who will serve the second of his two-game suspension for a hit to the head of Detroit Red Wings forward Landon Ferraro on Oct. 31. Goaltender Craig Anderson will start, and coach Dave Cameron will use the same lineup from a 2-1 road win against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday, according to the Ottawa Citizen. Forward Clarke MacArthur (concussion) and defenseman Chris Phillips (back) remain out. Center Kyle Turris has scored in each of the past four games. Ottawa visits the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday.
