FLYERS (9-10-5) at SENATORS (12-6-5)

TV: TCN-PH, RDS2, TSN5

Season series: Craig Anderson made 36 saves, and Mike Hoffman had a goal and an assist, to lead the Ottawa Senators to a 4-0 win against the Philadelphia Flyers on Nov. 21 at Canadian Tire Centre. Mika Zibanejad, Milan Michalek and Kyle Turris also scored for the Senators. Flyers goalie Steve Mason made 27 saves.

Flyers team scope: Right wing Jakub Voracek has one goal and 12 assists in 24 games in the first two months of the season; at the same time last season he had nine goals and 23 assists in 23 games. The scoring slump forced coach Dave Hakstol to separate Voracek from Claude Giroux on the top line. Since joining center Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and left wing Chris VandeVelde, the Flyers have won three of four games, so Voracek has put his scoring woes behind him for now. "We haven't been scoring and [Hakstol] changed it up and we won three out of four," Voracek told the Courier-Post. "There is no reason to change it [back]. I know what kind of player I am. I feel like I'm coming around." Voracek has four points in his past four games and leads the Flyers with 12 assists. Defenseman Nick Schultz, who sustained an upper-body injury Saturday against the New York Rangers, practiced Monday and could play Tuesday.

Senators team scope: Anderson will make his eighth straight start Tuesday and 19th in 23 games. Anderson is 34 but coach Dave Cameron said Monday he isn't worried about wearing out his goaltender. "We'll monitor his play," Cameron told the Senators website. "I think your goalie is like everyone else; they never complain when they play. It's up to us to monitor, making sure that first and foremost we're playing good away from the puck so we're not hanging him out to dry with multiple shots and opportunities and teams crashing the net. That's the first thing we have to do. Then we go game by game." The Senators finished November 7-2-3 and they want to build on that heading into December. "You look at November as hopefully a huge stepping stone for us," forward Bobby Ryan said. "Obviously the scoreboard reflects where we're headed and what we think we've accomplished so far. It was a positive month."
