According to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com, the Toronto Blue Jays will exercise the $12 million option on starting pitcher R.A. Dickey for 2016.

Sources also told Heyman that the Jays are also planning to exercise the options on Jose Bautista ($14 million) and Edwin Encarnacion ($10 million).

Dickey signed a two-year, $25 million deal with the Blue Jays after the team acquired him from the New York Mets prior to the 2013 season. The deal included a third season as an option year.

The right-hander went 11-11 with a 3.91 ERA this season while throwing 214.1 innings. He went 8-1 with a 2.80 ERA after the All-Star break.

The expected option pick-ups of sluggers Bautista and Encarnacion are expected as both contracts are well below market value.
