Daniel Sedin scored 29 seconds into overtime to lift the Vancouver Canucks to a win against the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Arena in the preseason finale for each team.
Bo Horvat opened the scoring 3:57 into the game and Jannik Hansen tied it for Vancouver at 18:04 of the third period after Edmonton had taken a 2-1 lead.
Ryan Miller allowed two goals on 27 shots for the Canucks, who were 4-3-1 in the preseason. Vancouver opens its regular season on Oct. 7 at the Calgary Flames.
Benoit Pouliot and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored in the third period and Cam Talbot made 24 saves for the Oilers, who finished the preseason 6-1-1. Edmonton will play its first regular-season game at the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 8.
