Mark Pysyk scored a tiebreaking power-play goal with 4:55 left in the third period to give the Buffalo Sabres a win against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre.
Toronto's Nazem Kadri tied the game 4-4 with a goal 3:02 into the third period.
The Maple Leafs built a 3-1 lead on first-period goals by Stuart Percy and Daniel Winnik, and one 2:03 into the second by Matt Frattin.
Buffalo answered with second-period goals by Brian Gionta, Nicolas Deslauriers and Ryan O'Reilly (shorthanded) to take a 4-3 lead.
David Legwand scored with six seconds left for the final margin.
Buffalo goalie Robin Lehner made 22 saves in two periods; Nathan Lieuwen made seven saves in the third.
Jonathan Bernier made 27 saves for Toronto.
