Veteran forward Brad Boyes is the latest free-agent to get a professional tryout with the Toronto Maple Leafs, according to Fox Sports Midwest reporter Andy Strickland.
The native of Mississauga was selected in the first round, 24th overall, of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the Leafs. He never saw a game with the Blue and White as he was traded to the San Jose Sharks (along with Alyn McCauley and a first rounder) for Owen Nolan.
Curtis Glencross and Devin Setoguchi will also be at the Maple Leafs camp in a professional tryout basis.
Boyes has 203 goals with 278 assists over 762 career regular season games with the Sharks, Boston Bruins, St. Louis Blues, Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders and Panthers.
