The show must go on!
During Shania Twain's concert at the Staples Center in L.A. last night, the country crooner's performance was briefly interrupted by a power outage!
A concertgoer tells E! News the 49-year-old was in the middle of singing her hit "That Don't Impress Me Much" when everything went haywire, including the lights, the music and the visual graphics. The outage occurred right after she sang the line, "OK, so you're a rocket scientist." About five minutes went by and Shania couldn't sing because her microphone wouldn't work.
She eventually started a conversation with two guys in the audience who got engaged earlier that day and one of them actually works as a rocket scientist! "We have a real rocket scientist in the audience tonight...And he just got engaged," she said to fans in the audience, according to the insider. "All bad things happen for a good reason. Cool, let's get a selfie."
The lights and music eventually came back and Shania went on singing her hits.
After the concert, she tweeted, "We had so much fun in LA that we blew the power out! We came back up within minutes and kept rocking @STAPLESCenter! #rockthiscountry."
Staples Center also posted, "There was an underground explosion at Figueroa/Wilshire during tonight's show that took power out through DTLA during @ShaniaTwain…Our primary power went out momentarily and secondary back up took over w/in 5 minutes & show continued. Thx to @ShaniaTwain for being a pro!"
"Power outages 'Don't Impress @ShaniaTwain Much' and she definitely rocked Downtown LA tonight!," they added.
