Canadian defender Kadeisha Buchanan is one of 23 players named to the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup All-Star Squad which was released by soccer's governing body on Monday as part of their Technical Report.

The 19-year-old started and played every minute for Canada in the tournament and captured the Young Player Award helping lead the nation to the quarterfinals, where they were eliminated by England.

Five players from the championship American side were also named to the All-Star team, including Ballon d'Or winner Carli Lloyd who scored three goals in the tournament final to help topple defending champion Japan and goalkeeper Hope Solo, who won the Golden Glove Award during the World Cup.

Golden Boot winner Celia Sasic, who announced her retirement following the tournament also made the squad.
