{allcanada} PIT BOX: Canadian Tire Series Heads West

 

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

• The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1's annual western swing will commence Saturday at Edmonton International Raceway, where current Jostens Rookie of the Year contender Erica Thiering has earned six NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track titles. Andrew Ranger won the series' inaugural event at the quarter-mile in 2014.
• The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West will return to action Saturday at Stateline Speedway, situated on the border of Idaho and Washington. James Bickford was the series' inaugural event winner a year ago and will seek his first victory of 2015. Stateline is the home track of NASCAR Next driver Nicole Behar, who made her series debut in this race last year and finished sixth.
• Sunday will mark the first of two visits this season for the NASCAR Mexico Series to the half-mile Super Ovalo Potosino, which has played host to the series since 2005. Rogelio Lopez is the defending winner of this event, which featured current NASCAR XFINITY Series rookie Daniel Suarez setting the series' qualifying record.
