Left wing Mike Hoffman, a restricted free agent who is scheduled to go to arbitration Thursday, has submitted a request for $3.4 million per year, while the Ottawa Senators have offered a one-year, $1.7 million contract, according to Sportsnet.
Hoffman, 25, had 27 goals and 21 assists in 79 games for the Senators last season. He had one goal and two assists in six Stanley Cup Playoff games when the Senators lost to the Montreal Canadiens in the Eastern Conference First Round.
Ottawa's fifth-round pick (No. 130) at the 2009 NHL Draft, Hoffman has 30 goals and 24 assists in 108 games.
