Erik Condra has opted not to re-sign with the Ottawa Senators.
The 28-year-old right winger inked a three-year, $3.75-million deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning Wednesday.
His contract will carry a $1.25-million salary cap hit.
Condra was reportedly intent on finding a three-year commitment and had received calls from a number of opponents.
The depth forward was paid $1.3 million last season and scored a career-high nine goals.
Fans should expect Ottawa to add to its forward core in light of losing out on Condra.
