The Montreal Alouettes will reportedly place quarterback Jonathan Crompton on the six-game injured list, according to Montreal Gazette writer Herb Zurkowsky.

Crompton didn't return for the second half of the Als' Week 1 loss to the Ottawa Redblacks after suffering a bruised shoulder to his throwing arm.

Crompton was replaced by Dan LeFevour in the second half. LeFevour lasted two plays before he was hit high by defensive-back Abdul Kanneh.

Canadian rookie Brandon Bridge, who was selected in the fourth round of May's draft, became the first non-import quarterback to play in a CFL game Toronto's Danny Brannagan in 2010, the first to see action for Montreal since Gerry Dattilio more than two decades ago.
