Toronto will host an ISU Short Track World Cup for the first time next season.
The second World Cup stop of the 2015-16 campaign will be held Nov. 6-8 at the MasterCard Centre, Speed Skating Canada announced Thursday.
The Ontario capital is one of three Canadian cities set to host World Cup speedskating events next season.
The short-track campaign opens Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at the Maurice-Richard Arena in Montreal. The long-track season kicks off Nov. 13-15 at Calgary's Olympic Oval.
"Speed Skating Canada is very pleased to host the best speedskating athletes in the world next season in three international events," chief executive officer Ian Moss said in a release. "This reflects our strategy to host an increasing number of events like these in Canada and consequently, to better promote our sport on short and long track, as well as our athletes who are representing us so well."
