HAMILTON - Veteran receiver Cary Koch was among nine players released Friday by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Koch signed with Hamilton as a free agent prior to last season after spending two years with the Edmonton Eskimos. The 28-year-old native of Baton Rouge, La., had 14 catches for 215 yards with the Ticats.
Koch has recorded 129 catches for 1,816 yards and 14 TDs over his five-year CFL career, which he began with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2010.
Hamilton also released offensive lineman Everett Benyard, receiver Lamont Bryant, defensive backs Taylor Mack and E.J. Woods, defensive linemen Adewale Ojomo and Brandon Thurmond, running back Sam Ojuri and linebacker Jonathon Sharpe. All are international players.
