The Edmonton Eskimos have signed head coach Chris Jones to a contract extension, keeping him with the club through the 2016 season.
Jones led the Eskimos to a 12-6 record in 2014, his first year as head coach. He also serves as the team's defensive coordinator.
Edmonton finished second in the West Division, bowing out in the West Final to the eventual-Grey Cup champion Calgary Stampeders.
He was named a finalist for the Annis Stukus Trophy - the CFL's Coach of the Year award.
Prior to joining the Eskimos Jones had served as a defensive coordinator with the Stampeders, Montreal Alouettes and Toronto Argonauts.
