SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Bryan Moore's third-period goal stood as the winner as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds staved off elimination with a 4-2 win over the Erie Otters in Ontario Hockey League playoff action on Thursday.

Jared McCann and Michael Bunting also scored for the Greyhounds, who trail the best-of-seven Western Conference final 3-2. Gabe Guertier added a short-handed, empty-net goal with two seconds to play.

Nicholas Baptiste and Travis Dermott supplied the offence for the Otters, who hosts Game 6 on Saturday. Connor McDavid chipped in with an assist.

Sault Ste. Marie goaltender Brandon Halverson made 26 saves. Erie's Devin Williams stopped 35-of-38 shots in the losing effort.

The Greyhounds were 1 for 6 on the power play while the Otters failed to score on two chances with the man advantage.
