ANAHEIM -- Calgary Flames forwards Jiri Hudler and Micheal Ferland are day-to-day with undisclosed injuries sustained Thursday in Game 1 of the Western Conference Second Round against the Anaheim Ducks, coach Bob Hartley said.

"We will re-evaulate them [Friday]," Hartley said.

Hudler played three shifts in the second period and did not return in a 6-1 loss to the Ducks at Honda Center. His three goals and six points in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games leads the Flames.

Ferland did not play after the first period. He was struck high when teammate David Jones checked Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen into him behind the net. Ferland also collided with Anaheim defenseman Francois Beauchemin.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Ferland has become a physical force for Calgary and a fan favorite after he replaced injured forward Lance Bouma.

Flames left wing Johnny Gaudreau did not play in the third period, but Hartley said the Calder Trophy finalist is not injured. Gaudreau was cross-checked by Anaheim center Nate Thompson in the second period.

"I just rested Johnny," Hartley said. "I felt they were taking way too many liberties on him, and I thought that [with the score], I just kept him on the bench."

Game 2 of the best-of-7 series is Sunday at Honda Center (10 p.m. ET; CNBC, SN, TVA Sports).
