Canada has unveiled its 23-player roster for the FIFA Women's World Cup.

While many familiar faces return from the squad that won bronze at the 2012 London Olympic Games, the roster also features nine players who have not yet appeared in a World Cup match.

Captain Christine Sinclair heads the Canadian roster which also features London standouts Melissa Tancredi and Diana Matheson, who was named the roster despite still nursing a knee injury.

Among the high-profile World Cup rookies are 20-year-old fullback Kadeisha Buchanan and 17-year-old midfielder Jessie Fleming.

A total of 15 players from the London 2012 roster return for the World Cup, which kicks off on June 6 when Canada takes on China in Edmonton.
