Season series: The Dallas Stars have defeated the Vancouver Canucks twice. Dallas goalie Kari Lehtonen is 2-0-0 with a 1.50 goals-against average and a shutout; forward Tyler Seguin has a goal and an assist. Vancouver goalie Eddie Lack has made 41 saves on 43 shots (.953 save percentage).

Stars team scope: Dallas is eight points behind the Winnipeg Jets for the second wild card from the Western Conference into the Stanley Cup Playoffs after a 4-0 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Friday. The Stars, who had won four in a row, have seven games remaining, all against teams which are in the playoff race. Forward Jamie Benn has four goals and three assists in his past five games. Lehtonen has started the past nine games, which included a back-to-back set earlier this month, but could back up Jhonas Enroth, who hasn't started since March 7 when he allowed four goals in a 5-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Canucks team scope: Vancouver hasn't lost two home games in a row since January; the Canucks were defeated by the Colorado Avalanche 4-1 at Rogers Arena on Thursday and play five straight Western Conference teams who are in a spot to qualify for the playoffs. "We have to be ready," coach Willie Desjardins told the Canucks website Thursday. "Dallas is a real quick team and they play hard. They are a really tough team to handle." Prior to Thursday, Vancouver allowed four goals in three games. Lack, the likely starter, has allowed six goals in three games stopping 85 of 91 shots (.934 save percentage). Forward Radim Vrbata has three goals and four assists in his past four games.
