KITCHENER, Ont. - Mitchell Marner scored twice and set up four others as the London Knights took a commanding lead in their first-round matchup with a 10-6 win over the Kitchener Rangers Tuesday night in Ontario Hockey League playoff action.
Marner, who is eligible for the 2015 NHL Draft in the summer, now has seven goals and 12 points in three games— which leads all players in playoff scoring.
Matt Rupert and Christian Dvorak each had a pair of goals for the Knights, who lead the best-of-seven series 3-0, while Victor Mete chipped in with five assists.
Owen MacDonald, Jack Hidi and Julius Bergman added a goal and an assist apiece for London as Max Domi tacked on a single goal to round out the offence.
David Miller led the Rangers with two goals and two helpers while Liam Maaskant had two goals and an assist. Nick Maygar and Darby Llewellyn added the others.
Tyler Parsons made 35 saves for the Knights. Kitchener's Jake Paterson turned aside 24-of-33 shots in a losing cause.
London went 2 for 4 on the power play while the Ranger scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
Kitchener will look to avoid elimination when it hosts Game 4 on Thursday.

KINGSTON, Ont. — Jake Smith made 46 saves and Brenden Miller set up each of his club's goals as North Bay went up 3-0 in its first-round matchup with the Frontenacs.
Alex Henriksson, Nick Paul and Mathew Santos supplied the offence for the Battalion.
Lawson Crouse struck for Kingston as Lucas Perissini stopped 31-of-33 shots in defeat.
Kingston hosts Game 4 Thursday.

STORM 2 ATTACK 1
OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Justin Nichols made 34 saves and Robby Fabbri scored the eventual winner in the second period as Guelph edged the Attack to take Game 3 of its first-round series.
Tyler Bertuzzi had a goal and an assist for the Storm, who lead the series 2-1, and Fabbri added an assist on Bertuzzi's goal.
Zach Nastasiuk struck for Owen Sound, which got a 22-save outing from Jack Flinn.
The Attack host Game 4 on Wednesday.

PETES 3 GENERALS 1
PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Matthew Mancina stopped 46 shots— including all 30 his way over the final two periods— as the Petes took Game 3 of their first-round series against Oshawa.
Kyle Jenkins, Greg Betzold and Michael Clarke found the back of the net for Peterborough, which trails the series 2-1.
Cole Cassells scored for the Generals. Ken Appleby turned away 21-of-23 shots in defeat.
The Petes welcome Oshawa for Game 4 on Thursday.

OTTERS 4 STING 3 (OT)
SARNIA, Ont. — Dylan Strome scored at 10:35 of overtime as Erie edged the Sting in Game 4 to put Sarnia on the brink of elimination.
Taylor Raddysh, Kyle Maksimovich and Travis Dermott also scored for the Otters, who lead the first-round matchup 3-1. Daniel Dekoning made 17 saves for the win. Dekoning replaced starter Devin Williams, who allowed three goals on six shots in 12:58 of action.
Jordan Kyrou, Kevin Spinozzi and Hayden Hodgson gave the Sting a 3-0 lead. Taylor Dupuis turned away 41-of-45 shots in a losing effort.
Erie can clinch the series when it hosts Game 5 on Friday.

GREYHOUNDS 4 SPIRIT 0
SAGINAW, Mich. — Brandon Halverson stopped all 24 shots his way as Sault Ste. Marie blanked the Spirit to take a 3-0 first-round series lead.
The Greyhounds got goals from Tyler Ganly, Blake Speers, Nick Ritchie and Michael Bunting.
Evan Cormier kicked out 38-of-42 shots for Saginaw.
The Spirit will try and keep their season alive when they host Game 4 on Thursday.
