Season series: The St. Louis Blues have won each of the two games against the Winnipeg Jets, including a 2-1 shootout victory on Feb. 26 when Vladimir Tarasenko and Alexander Steen scored in the shootout for the Blues.

Jets team scope: Winnipeg, which is competing for a wild card spot in the Western Conference, practiced in St. Louis on Monday, but captain Andrew Ladd along with injured center Bryan Little (undisclosed) and defenseman Dustin Byfuglien (upper body) were not on the ice. Byfuglien is out 2-4 weeks, and Little is not expected to play. Coach Paul Maurice told reporters that Ladd was taking a maintenance day and would play against the Blues. Little is still day-to-day. "Little is where he's supposed to be; he's healing," Maurice said. "We're not testing him every day here. When he feels good to go, we'll put him out there." The Jets, who will play the second of a four-game road trip in St. Louis, hold the second wild card spot with 78 points, three ahead of the Los Angeles Kings.

Blues team scope: Defenseman Jay Bouwmeester (illness) and center Olli Jokinen, who left the third period of a 6-1 victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday with an upper-body injury, did not practice on Monday but coach Ken Hitchcock said each is expected to be in the lineup. Bouwmeester did not play Saturday. Defensemen Kevin Shattenkirk (abdomen) and Zbynek Michalek (concussion) skated on their own before practice and Hitchcock was encouraged. "They both had real good days today," Hitchcock said. "They both worked like crazy and I would say the next evaluation where you can start asking questions and I'll give you the right answers is when you see them on the ice with us either in a skate or pregame skate or when there's an optional practice. They're getting real close that way, so it's a good sign." Shattenkirk has not played since Feb. 1; Michalek has been out since Feb. 14. Goalie Brian Elliott will start Tuesday.
