Season series: The Nashville Predators have won three of four games against the Winnipeg Jets. Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne has an 0.67 goals-against average and .977 save percentage in three games, and forward Filip Forsberg has two goals and two assists.

Jets team scope: Winnipeg begins a four-game road trip without defenseman Dustin Byfuglien and center Bryan Little. Byfuglien is out 2-4 weeks after he sustained an upper-body injury in a 3-1 loss against the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday. Little sustained an undisclosed injury in that game and will miss at least the first half of the road trip. Winnipeg recalled forward Eric O'Dell from St. John's of the American Hockey League to replace Little. Defenseman Mark Stuart was hit in the face by a puck at practice Friday and his status has not been announced. An Ottawa power-play goal ended Winnipeg's streak of four games without allowing one (12-for-12). The Jets, who hold the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference, continue their road trip Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues.

Predators team scope: Nashville attempts to end its season-high five-game losing streak, during which it has allowed 19 goals, before starting a four-game road trip. The Predators announced Friday that left wing Eric Nystrom will be out four weeks because of a lower-body injury; Nystrom missed the Predators' 4-3 home loss against the New York Islanders on Thursday. Nashville's 27 home wins lead the NHL, and its six regulation home losses are tied with the Tampa Bay Lightning for the fewest in the League; however, the Predators have lost three in a row at home. Nashville has one power-play goal in its past six games (1-for-15). St. Louis has moved to within four points of Nashville for first place in the Central Division. The Predators' road trip starts Monday against the Arizona Coyotes.
