KVITFJELL, Norway – Dustin Cook captured Canada's second World Cup alpine skiing medal of the weekend Sunday, finishing third in the super-G.
The Ottawa native was 0.33 seconds behind winner Kjetil Jansrud of Norway, who completed the Olympiabakken course in one minute 37.44 seconds. Austria's Vincent Kriechmayr was 0.24 seconds back for silver.
Cook's medal comes a day after fellow Canadian Manuel Osborne-Paradis won silver in the downhill.
With one super-G remaining this season, Jansrud has an unassailable 123-point lead over Italy's Dominik Paris in the season standings.
Paris was 0.48 off the pace in fourth Sunday.
Austria's super-G world champion Hannes Reichelt, who won the downhill on Saturday, and Olympic downhill champion Matthias Mayer both crashed out, ending their slim hopes of catching Jansrud.
