{allcanada} Amy Pascal's office move stalled due to Seth Rogen's pot odor

Call it a stinky situation.

Amy Pascal's shift from Sony Pictures co-chair to on-the-lot producer is being held up by an unexpected factor: Seth Rogen's love of marijuana.

The executive's change of office has been delayed because the suite she's set to take over reeks of pot thanks to its most recent occupants, Rogen and his "Interview" directing partner Evan Goldberg, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Sources told the magazine that the offices — which Pascal's late boss, John Calley, once worked out of — will be repainted in an attempt to get rid of the smell, as the stench had seeped into the flooring, with some saying they could smell it two floors away. It stinks so bad that over-the-counter solutions such as Febreze were completely useless, sources told THR.

While one source downplayed the marijuana aspect, saying Rogen and Goldberg hadn't been using the offices long enough to cause damage, others told The Hollywood Reporter that neighbors had long complained of the smell of cannabis coming from their first-floor offices during their time there.

One frequent visitor even claimed that the lingering fumes could be smelled all the way on the third floor of the building. Cleaning crews must now come in and use industrial-strength solutions to take out the relentless aroma, THR reported.

Until the smell is gone, Pascal will move into a temporary office, while her replacement at Sony Pictures, Tom Rothman, moves into her current space.

Pascal, who shouldered much of the blame for the embarrassing Sony email hack, announced she was stepping down from her roles as co-chairman of Sony Pictures and chairwoman of the Motion Pictures Group early last month.

On Wednesday, Rogen, 32, slammed the report on Instagram:

I don't know what's more irresponsible: that they would print a story that is completely untrue, or that they would refer to how pot smells as a "stench." #myshitssmellsgood
