Future Hall of Fame receiver Geroy Simon is returning to the B.C. Lions.

According to TSN's Farhan Lalji, Simon has accepted an executive position with the team and an announcement is expected on Thursday.

Simon, who is the league's leading receiver with 1,029 receptions and 16,352 yards, enjoyed a 15-year CFL career, including 12 seasons with the Lions.

He earned Most Outstanding Player honours in 2006 with 105 catches for 1,856 yards and 15 touchdown en route to his first of three Grey Cup titles.

Simon started his career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1999 and finished with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2013.
