Quebec police are reportedly investigating six players on the Gatineau Olympiques after an incident at a local restaurant Friday night.

The unnamed players are being investigated for an alleged case of sexual misconduct involving a woman in a restaurant washroom, The Ottawa Citizen reported.

Jean-Paul Lemay, a spokesman for the Gatineau police, declined to say whether players on the QMJHL team are under investigation. He did say that police are probing an alleged incident at a local restaurant Friday night.

LeDroit newspaper reported the hockey players allegedly encouraged or committed sexual acts against a woman.

The Olympiques had home games on Friday night and Sunday afternoon this weekend.

The team and the QMJHL said they would conduct an internal investigation and would decline further comment.
