SENATORS (18-18-8) at RANGERS (26-13-4)

TV: RDS2, TSN5, MSG

Season series: The New York Rangers took two out of three games against the Ottawa Senators last season, scoring 12 goals in their two wins, including a season-high eight in a March 18 win at Canadian Tire Centre. Mats Zuccarello had three goals and two assists in the three games, Rick Nash had three goals, and Derick Brassard two goals and two assists.

Senators team scope: Despite taking an early third-period lead on Saturday, the Senators allowed the Carolina Hurricanes to score the game's final two goals, and lost at home 3-2. Ottawa is 4-4-1 over its past nine games, as the Senators have hovered around the .500 mark. Coach Dave Cameron confirmed Monday that Craig Anderson will start in goal, and that forward Chris Neil and defenseman Chris Phillips will return to the lineup, according to the team's Twitter. Neil has missed the Senators past 16 games with a lower-body injury and Phillips missed the past two games as a healthy scratch. "I feel great out there. I obviously worked hard to get back and that's what it takes," Neil said, according to the Senators' website. "Every day in here skating and doing my workouts just to rehab my knee. It feels strong and I feel ready to go."

Rangers team scope: After being shut out in consecutive games, the Rangers have won their past two, including 5-2 against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday. Nash scored twice and is now tied for the NHL lead with 28 goals. Center Derek Stepan also scored twice, and has four points in his past two games after missing a game due to an upper-body injury. Stepan has 31 points in 30 games this season. The Rangers have won 16 of their past 19 games, and have moved into third place in the Metropolitan Division, trailing the Penguins by two points with a game in hand. Forward Tanner Glass, who missed the Sunday game in Pittsburgh with an upper-body injury, did not practice Monday and will not face the Senators, according to the team. "We can't wait and see how the game is going to play out. We have to set the tempo right away," defenseman Ryan McDonagh said, according to the team's website.
