{allcanada} QMJHL: Roy scores shootout winner as Remparts edge Cataractes

SHAWINIGAN, Que. - Marc-Olivier Roy scored the winning goal in the shootout to lift the Quebec Remparts to a 3-2 comeback victory over the Shawinigan Cataractes in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action on Saturday.

Kurt Echegary and Ryan Graves scored back-to-back goals in the second period for Quebec (28-17-3), tying the game 2-2.

Dennis Yan and Anthony Beauvillier had the first two goals of the game for the Cataractes (26-18-3).

Remparts goaltender Zachary Fucale made 17 saves for the victory.

Shawinigan's Marvin Cupper stopped 33 shots in the losing effort.

Quebec had one power-play goal on four opportunities while the Cataractes scored once on seven chances with the man advantage.

DRAKKAR 6 HUSKIES 1

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Maxime St-Cyr scored three goals and Frederic Gamelin tacked on four assists to power the Drakkar past Rouyn-Noranda.

Jeremy Gregoire and Luca Ciampini had a goal and two helpers apiece for Baie-Comeau (25-13-7). Guillaume Beaudry rounded out the attack.

Julien Nantel had the lone goal for the Huskies (23-21-3).

PHOENIX 7 MOOSEHEADS 4

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Tim Wieser scored twice and had an assist, and the Phoenix erupted for four unanswered goals in the last 25 minutes of the game to roll past Halifax.

Cameron Darcy and David Shorto scored two apiece and Nicolas Poulin scored the other goal for Sherbrooke (25-17-4).

Philippe Gadoury led the Mooseheads (22-20-4) with a goal and an assist. Samuel Leblanc, Connor Moynihan and Timo Meier also scored.

TITAN 5 ISLANDERS 1

BATHURST, N.B. — Jordan Maher scored three goals and assisted on another to lead the Titan past Charlottetown.

Andrew Ryan had a five-point night with a goal and four helpers for Acadie-Bathurst (14-31-5), and Jeffrey Truchon-Viel rounded out the offence with a goal and an assist.

Ryan MacKinnon scored on a power play for the Islanders (24-20-4).

Charlottetown's Luc Deschenes and Acadie-Bathurst's Matthew Cusson each got a game misconduct for fighting in the final five minutes of regulation.

SCREAMING EAGLES 7 WILDCATS 1

MONCTON, N.B. — Maxim Lazarev had a hat trick and tacked on an assist to lead Cape Breton over the Wildcats.

Marcus Hinds and Stephen Anderson each had a four-point night with a goal and three helpers, while Jeremie Beaudin and Kyle Farrell also scored for the Screaming Eagles (19-22-5). Hinds and Farrell scored shorthanded.

William Bower supplied the offence for Moncton (29-14-3).

ARMADA 4 TIGRES 3 (OT)

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Guillaume Beaudoin scored 1:41 into overtime to lift Blainville-Boisbriand over the Tigres for its fifth-straight victory.

Philippe Sanche and Nikita Jevpalovs had a goal and an assist apiece for the Armada (29-12-5). Danick Martel also scored.

Nikita Li, Mathieu Ayotte and Gabriel Gagne supplied the offence for Victoriaville (21-21-6).
