{allcanada} OHL: Brown scores OT winner as Spitfires topple Sting

SARNIA, Ont. - Logan Brown scored 20 seconds into overtime to lift the Windsor Spitfires to a 3-2 victory over the slumping Sarnia Sting in Ontario Hockey League action on Saturday.

Jamie Lewis and Cristiano DiGiacinto scored back-to-back goals to give Windsor (19-23-2) a 2-0 lead.

Alexandre Renaud scored shorthanded and Hayden Hodgson tied the game for the Sting (22-17-6), who have dropped three straight.

Spitfires goaltender Brendan Johnston stopped 22 shots for the win.

Sarnia's Taylor Dupuis made 35 saves, including one penalty shot from Windsor's Markus Soberg in the second period.

Neither team scored on the power play, with the Spitfires going 0 for 2 and the Sting squandering four opportunities.

KNIGHTS 5 BULLS 3

BELLEVILLE, Ont. — Tyler Parsons made 31 saves and five different London skaters scored en route to victory over the Bulls.

Chandler Yakimowicz — shorthanded — and Cliff Pu each had a goal and an assist to help the Knights (29-13-3) earn their fifth-straight win. Drake Rymsha, Julius Bergman and Chris Martenet also scored.

Stephen Harper found the back of the net twice for Belleville (19-20-6) while Andrew Ming rounded out the offence. Connor Hicks stopped 25 shots in the losing effort.

STORM 3 WHALERS 0

PLYMOUTH, Mich. — Justin Nichols turned aside all 29 shots he faced as Guelph blanked the Whalers.

Tyler Bertuzzi had an empty-net goal and added an assist for the Storm (26-17-3) and Tyler Hill and Givani Smith also scored.

Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 32-of-34 shots for Plymouth (15-26-3).

COLTS 3 SPIRIT 1

BARRIE, Ont. — Rasmus Andersson's goal at 17:55 of the second period held up as the winner as the Colts snapped a two-game slide with a win over Saginaw.

Ben Hawerchuk also scored for Barrie (27-15-2) and Brendan Lemieux added an empty-net power-play goal at 19:16 of the third period.

Jesse Barwell replied for the Spirit (21-23-2).

OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Damir Sharipzyanov scored twice and Erik Bradford had a goal and two assists to power the Attack over Kingston.

Ethan Szypula and Chris Bigras also scored for Owen Sound (20-13-9).

Roland McKeown and Samuel Schutt replied for the Frontenacs (17-19-7).
