With the Toronto Maple Leafs' offence going 0-for-California on their current road trip, the club recalled forward Matt Frattin from the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies Thursday morning.
Frattin failed to register a point in six NHL games earlier this season but has scored 10 goals and three assists in 22 games with the Marlies.
The 27-year-old Edmonton native has appeared in 132 career NHL regular-season games, scoring 35 points (17 goals, 18 assists) and collecting 44 penalty minutes.
The Maple Leafs look to end their two-game skid Thursday night in San Jose, where they'll face the Sharks at 10:30 p.m. ET.
