After a turbulent end to 2014, Drake rang in the new year at Marquee in Las Vegas with an emotional set.

The rapper, who was injured in an altercation with Sean "Diddy" Combs in Miami in early December, had committed to doing just three songs, sources said, but performed a 45-minute set of hits.

He even climbed to a catwalk high above the DJ booth to close the show.

"He was 20 feet in the air with no railing," a witness said. "He had to climb this tiny ladder in the dark. He was the first artist to ever perform there. At sound check, he saw it and knew that would be an amazing way to close the show."

With Diddy safely in St. Barts, Drake was back at Marquee's "Dayclub dome" with a large crew on New Year's Day and took over a cabana to watch football.

"Drake was in a sweater and jeans, and even though it was freezing in Vegas, there were girls in bikinis in the hot tub," a spy said.

Later that evening, he capped off the celebrations with dinner at Tao at the Venetian, then headed upstairs at the club to see DJ Khaled perform.
