CANUCKS (25-15-3) at PANTHERS (20-13-10)

TV: SN, FS-F

Season series: Roberto Luongo made 32 saves, and Jonathan Huberdeau scored two goals with an assist, to lead the Florida Panthers to a 3-1 win against the Vancouver Canucks on Jan. 8. Playing in his first game at Rogers Arena since his trade from the Canucks to the Panthers last season, Luongo earned his 389th NHL win to tie Dominik Hasek for 11th all-time. He also defeated the Canucks for the first time in his career to give him at least one win against all 30 NHL teams.

Canucks team scope: Vancouver has responded to a three-game losing streak, during which it scored two goals, by winning its past two, the latest a 3-0 victory against the Carolina Hurricanes on Jan. 16. Goalie Ryan Miller made 27 saves for his fifth shutout of the season and 34th of his career. He has allowed 13 goals in his past nine starts and will likely start Monday. "I think if he's feeling good he'll probably go," coach Willie Desjardins said via Twitter on Sunday. Forward Brad Richardson (undisclosed) did not practice and will be re-evaluated Monday. Forward Daniel Sedin is looking forward to the rematch against Luongo. "That was a game we could have won," he said. "He was really good and we expect nothing less [Monday]." The Canucks end a five-game road trip Tuesday at the Tampa Bay Lightning before returning home for their next six games.

Panthers team scope: Goals from Huberdeau and Erik Gudbranson, and 32 saves from Luongo, could not prevent Florida's 3-2 shootout loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. Coming off a 4-2-0 road trip, the Panthers have lost three straight games for the first time since Nov. 4-8 with Luongo dropping three straight for the first time since the opening three games of the season. Luongo played in his 838th game, 11th among NHL goalies. Huberdeau has eight points (four goals, four assists) in his past six games. The Panthers' 28th-ranked power play has one goal in its past seven games. "It's a struggle," coach Gerard Gallant told the Miami Herald. "We're putting the guys on the ice we think can get the job done. It's frustrating, no doubt. The players are getting frustrated. But you keep working in practice and hopefully get better."
