TV: SNP

Season series: The Nashville Predators defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-1 on Nov. 2. Predators left wing Filip Forsberg had two goals and an assist and right wing James Neal had two assists. Goalie Pekka Rinne made 26 saves for Nashville. Vancouver left wing Daniel Sedin has 12 goals and 27 assists in 48 career games against Nashville and center Henrik Sedin has eight goals and 37 assists in 48 games.

Canucks team scope: Goalie Eddie Lack made 22 saves in a 1-0 loss to the Calgary Flames on Saturday with Ryan Miller out because of flu-like symptoms. Miller could start Tuesday, the Province reported. Defenseman Dan Hamhuis, the former Predator who has missed the past 20 games with a groin injury, will not play Tuesday but said he is "hopeful" to play on the five-game road trip, the Province reported. Vancouver is 2-3-0 in its past five games, having scored three goals in the three losses. The Canucks have not scored a power-play goal in the past three games (0-for-8). Vancouver is 12-6-2 on the road, 13-8-2 against the Western Conference and 3-4-0 against the Central Division. The Canucks have gone four consecutive games without allowing a power-play goal, having killed all 10 shorthanded situations. They have allowed one power-play goal in their past seven games, having killed 21 of 22 penalties (95.5 percent).

Predators team scope: Neal, who has missed the past five games because of a lower-body injury, practiced Monday, the second time in three days, according to the Predators website. Neal is on injured reserve, as is defenseman Ryan Ellis (lower-body injury) and forward Eric Nystrom (upper-body injury). With a win Tuesday, Rinne has gone one month without a loss in regulation (9-0-1). Nashville is 16-2-1 at Bridgestone Arena (the best home record in the NHL), 20-5-4 against the Western Conference and 8-2-2 against the Pacific Division. The Predators have not lost in regulation since Dec. 23 (6-0-2). Since going goalless in his first six games after he returned from a torn Achilles' tendon that sidelined him four months, center Mike Fisher has seven goals in 14 games. Forward Colin Wilson has a three-game point streak (one goal, three assists). Wilson has six goals and seven assists in his past 10 games. The Predators have not allowed a power-play goal in five of their past six games.
