NEWARK, N.J. -- Michael Bournival scored twice to help the Montreal Canadiens to their fifth straight win, 4-2 against the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center on Friday.

Max Pacioretty scored a power-play goal, Tomas Plekanec scored into an empty net, P.K. Subban had three assists, and Carey Price made 22 saves for his 21st win of the season.

The Canadiens (25-11-2) are tied with the Tampa Bay Lightning for first place in the Atlantic Division after the Lightning lost 6-3 at the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Mike Cammalleri and Michael Ryder scored for the Devils, with Ryder ending a 21-game drought with his fifth of the season. Keith Kinkaid made 23 saves for the Devils (13-20-7), who lost their second straight and for the ninth time in 11 games.

Bournival scored 6:31 into the second period, his first goal of the season in his seventh game. Nathan Beaulieu stole the puck from Jaromir Jagr, and Sergei Gonchar one-touched a pass to Bournival on left wing. Bournival's pass in the direction of Dale Weise hit the skate of Devils defenseman Jon Merrill and eluded Kinkaid.

Pacioretty scored late in the period on the man-advantage. Subban kept Alex Galchenyuk's errant pass in at the blue line and slid a pass to the wing, who beat Kinkaid between the pads to give Montreal a 2-0 lead with 51 seconds left.

That was enough cushion for Price, who got his 200th win in his 400th NHL game. The eighth-year veteran was helped by the post twice, first on Marek Zidlicky's second-period shot, and in the third period on a shot by Adam Larsson. Price also used his mask to stop Tuomo Ruutu's wrist shot in the third period.

Bournival scored his second of the season at 2:47 of the second period when he scooped up a rebound of Weise's shot and beat Kinkaid.

Ryder, who returned to the lineup after a bout with the mumps, scored his fifth goal of the season 34 seconds later. Cammalleri scored his 12th of the season, from Jaromir Jagr, his 1,066th NHL assist and 1,777th point.

Devils defenseman Peter Harrold was hit in the face by Beaulieu's follow-through in the first period. He did not return, playing 2:56.

Montreal forward PA Parenteau was injured midway through the second period and did not return, playing 8:06.
