Prior to the telecast Sunday of the Calgary Flames and Chicago Blackhawks on CITY in Canada, the NHL Network in the United States will televise the "Rogers Hometown Hockey" broadcast at 7:30 p.m. ET. This week's location is St. Catharines, Ontario, to celebrate the city's iconic hockey story.

Among the features airing on the pregame show:

* When he was 17, Marcel Dionne decided to leave his hometown in Quebec to play junior hockey in St. Catharines. Criticized at the time, Dionne is still in the area 46 years later and proving that the Garden City was definitely greener pastures.

* Ridley College is celebrating its 125th anniversary. Ever since its inception in 1889, the world-class prep boarding school has had a hockey program.

* Ontario and St. Catharines may be home to many Toronto Maple Leafs fans, but there is also a group of Buffalo Sabres supporters who have been season-ticket holders for up to 40 years.

* A single mother of three, Sheri Millis was nervous when her youngest son asked to start playing hockey, until an initiative called First Shift helped with the cost, equipment and time.
