OTTAWA - The Ottawa Redblacks have named former CFL quarterback Jason Maas as their new offensive co-ordinator.
He replaces Mike Gibson, who was fired last month after the Redblacks' disappointing inaugural season.
Maas played for 13 seasons in the CFL, most notably in Edmonton where he led the Eskimos to Grey Cup titles in 2003 and 2005.
Maas also played for Hamilton and Montreal.
After his playing career, Maas joined the Toronto Argonauts as a receivers coach in 2011 before switching to quarterbacks coach in 2012.
Maas will be tasked with turning around an offence that finished last in the CFL in scoring last season.
