The Tampa Bay Lightning will not be loaning forward Jonathan Drouin to Team Canada for the World Juniors, according to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie.

Drouin, 19, was Tampa Bay's first round (third overall) pick in 2013.

He finished fourth with Team Canada in the 2013 World Junior Tournament.

In 20 games this year, Drouin has a goal and 11 points.

He spent last season with the Halifax Mooseheads.

The New York Rangers loaned forward Anthony Duclair in a move announced on Tuesday.

McKenzie is also reporting that the Washington Capitals do not plan to release Andre Burakovsky to Russia, and that it is "highly unlikely" that the Edmonton Oilers loan Leon Draisaitl. Buffalo has yet to make a decision, but is "seriously considering" loaning Nikita Zadorov to Russia.
